Jody’s dad introduced him to science fiction in 5th grade by giving him a copy of “Skylark of Valeron.” He was hooked and SciFi has been a central part of his life ever since, including a full-scale teenage obsession with Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Mars Book series. In addition to fueling his dreaming and imagining of what could be, SciFi played a pivotal role in Jody’s choosing to become an Environmental Engineer as well his interest in space and sustainable agriculture. As Jody says, “It’s the only genre of film I get hungry to see!”
